Coaching Philosophy
My golf coaching philosophy is simple. I will help you enjoy the game of golf, playing to your potential, whatever your starting point. Basic fundamentals are at the core to becoming successful at the game of golf. Every golfer is different and not one swing is the same, therefore I work within the golfer’s capabilities to help them achieve their goals. I do this by keeping it simple, as golf is a complex game and can be overwhelming for some, so I always keep things simple and straightforward.

Why Book With Me
Golf coaching should be fun and rewarding. I would use this opportunity to assess your game, pinpoint strengths and areas for improvement and provide realistic goals to help you improve. I would help you to understand exactly what is happening, why it’s happening and what you need to do to improve and prevent any bad habits developing. Practice drills will be provided to help improve all aspects of the game. Golf is a fantastic game, so why wouldn’t you want to get better at it?

Q: What year did you turn professional?
I turned professional in October 2020.

Q: What can a golfer expect from a lesson with you?
My objective is to provide an all-round coaching experience that helps the golfer enjoy their game to the maximum. We’ll work out the areas to work on, i.e., technical, mental (or both), and give the golfer a clear roadmap to achieving their goals

Q: What aspect of the game do you specialise in coaching?
The areas of focus include club fitting, Capto putting, and course management. Additionally, in 2024, I aspire to become a Short Game Specialist and complete Capto Level 2 Training.

Q: What was your greatest playing achievement?
I was the first person to win back-to-back scratch club championships at Rustington Golf Centre and the only person to win it three times.

Q: What technology do you use in your lessons and how do you believe it helps?
I use FlightScope on the driving range and Capto for putting. Both of these tools provide real-time data to the golfer, allowing them to experience and see the benefits of professional coaching during the lesson. This helps to build trust and confidence in the coaching team. After the lesson, all the follow-ups are uploaded to OnForm, a coaching app that facilitates easy communication and maximises the benefits for my students. It enables players to receive feedback and stay in touch with me between lessons.

Q: What three words would best describe you as a coach?
Supportive, friendly and patient.

Q: As a player, what weakness have you struggled with and what did you do to correct it?
As an amateur golfer, I struggled to stay in the moment. I would always be overthinking, creating negative thoughts in my head, and worrying about my score. This led to missed opportunities for winning events, which made me frustrated. To address this, I started using a trigger to initiate my pre-shot routine and made a conscious effort to have a clear intention for every shot. Additionally, when negative thoughts arose, I began utilising breathwork in between shots. This allowed me to redirect my mind and focus on something else, enabling me to fully concentrate on my next shot.

Q: What would you say to a beginner who might be intimidated by / nervous of the idea of taking up golf as a sport?
Golf is a journey that starts with taking the first step. Everyone who plays has been where you are now. Give it a try with an open mind, and you will be surprised how much fun it is. Having the right coach in these early stages can be a big help.

Q: What life skills do you believe golf teaches a person?
To make the most of each situation, live in the present and don’t dwell on what’s already done. Instead, focus on what’s in front of you right now and how you can make the very best of your situation.

Q: Favourite course that you’ve ever played?
My favourite course is the Dom Pedro old course in Vilamoura.

Q: Which course is number one on your bucket list to play / is your dream course to play?
My dream course is Augusta.

Q: Who is your favourite Major Champion of all time?
Tiger Woods.

Q: Who would join you in your dream fourball?
My dream fourball would be myself, Tiger Woods, Joel Dahmen, and Adam Scott.

Q: Favourite club in the bag?
My favourite club is the Callaway Rogue LS 5 wood.

Q: Best quick golf tip?
Select your shot, commit to it, accept the result.
