Coaching Philosophy
Regular coaching is a vital part of a golfer’s improvement and development. Golf coaching sessions should take place in the appropriate environment, on course sessions are a vital and often missed part of a player’s development and success. When changes are needed, these need to be measured and only done to benefit the golfer and their control of the golf ball flight. This will not only aid their learning and understanding but most importantly their enjoyment of the game! As a coach, I acknowledge that each individual I meet will have different requirements. This drives me to continually learn and improve so I can provide the best possible experience for each golfer I am lucky enough to work with.

Why Book With Me
Whether it is a one-off session or a long-term relationship we will have clear and agreed goals. The use of clear and understandable communication both in the sessions and after. All progression will be measured and communication between sessions is encouraged. Golf can be challenging and having access to your coach is vital for your continued enjoyment and progression of the game.

Q: What can a golfer expect from a lesson with you?
They can expect that I will listen carefully to their questions and requirements. Structure the lesson around the player and what we agree to be the most important area to focus on. Provide a clear plan for the lesson and individual training sessions, along with notes and videos for reference. Offer continued feedback after the lesson.

Q: What aspect of the game do you specialise in coaching?
I specialise in coaching the beginners and the improvers.

Q: What technology do you use in your lessons and how do you believe it helps?
The technologies I use are: video (OnForm app) – provides good visuals, shows improvement, and enables communication with the coach in between lessons. Flightscope – helps analyse impact and understand ball flight. Hackmotion – provides game-changing feedback for wrist conditions and clubface control.

Q: What three words would best describe you as a coach?
Reliable, personable, caring.

Q: As a player, what weakness have you struggled with and what did you do to correct it?
I faced challenges playing in competitive environments. I strived to enhance my golf skills by taking lessons and exploring other aspects, particularly the mental side of the game.

Q: What would you say to a beginner who might be intimidated by / nervous of the idea of taking up golf as a sport?
I would explain the positives: being outdoors in nature, the opportunity to make new friends, and the health benefits. I would guide them towards appropriate coaching sessions where we introduce golf in a friendly, non-judgmental manner, understanding their feelings.

Q: What life skills do you believe golf teaches a person?
I believe golf teaches you problem-solving abilities and resilience.

Q: Favourite course that you’ve ever played?
My favourite course is Victoria in Portugal.

Q: Which course is number one on your bucket list to play / is your dream course to play?
My dream course is Pebble Beach.

Q: Who is your favourite Major Champion of all time?
Seve.

Q: Who would join you in your dream fourball?
